An organic, home-grown poet, a wayward connoisseur of literature, a selfish spectator of art and other things, a fledgling media personnel currently on the lookout for a job and a retired emo extraordinaire, subsisting on the vagaries of life brought about by entrenched capitalism and idealist isolation.
This section has seen a lot of updates. Here’s a brief anecdote of how far this place has come.
I have been writing on this blog for about seven years now. It began as a new avenue for a schoolboy to share his thoughts and then turned into a full-fledged mental health blog, where I would share my journey through the intricate maze of my mind. And it was while taking a break from life and living, and writing constantly about my wretched days here that I started taking writing, in particular poetry, more seriously. Soon, I found a wonderful community of bloggers and poets and authors who provided me company through their words in times of despair. Gradually, the personal posts declined in favor of short-stories, haiku, form poetry and free-verse. Once I found my footing back in regular life, there was a lull in my post schedule. I would always come back though, and make a post once in a while, always keeping this blog alive even if the lull once lasted an entire year.
Today, this blog is symbolic of the development of my identity as a poet and its expression. It was through writing and sharing here that I became the person that I am today. There are more struggles ahead both in life as well as in my creative endeavors, but I have come this far. Let’s see how long it all lasts.
So, I would like to welcome you to HA’s place. Take a swig and let the taste linger in your mouth for a bit. Don’t forget to tell me how you like it, and what I can do to make your experience better.
There are many avenues to reach out to me. I always enjoy an invigorating conversation about the contemporary socio-political scenario, literature, poetry, music, and a myriad other stuff. In this digitized world of binaries, we can make it more real and break it down into a more diverse and inclusive setup.
Also, kindly let me know if you know of some magazines and online portals where I can submit my work. Thank you.
